While I interviewed several lawyers, once I talked to Lori, I knew she was the one. I found Lori when I was at one of the lowest periods of my life and really couldn’t see my way out. But bit by bit, through each conversation, she gave me strategic advice on not just my divorce, but also on how to detangle myself from the financial and emotional mess that my ex-partner and I had created: she showed me the tunnel, the light at the end of it, and helped me get there.

New York has no shortage of divorce attorneys, and people who want to refer theirs.  I met two wonderful attorneys on the way to meeting Lori, however, they were very hard to reach and when I was despairing over the loss of my marriage, I could not bear the stress that their unresponsiveness generated in me.  Lori’s name came from another attorney who had worked closely with her.  When I first spoke to Lori, I felt a deep sense of relief.  She was kind, patient, and knowledgeable.  Throughout the process, she maintained contact so that I was never left wondering where we were in the process or when I would hear from her.  Lori was a true advocate for me and a genuine source of support.  Along with being sympathetic, Lori showed herself to be a fighter, arranging a settlement that was better than I could have imagined.
